Like her character, Dyan is also a young thespian who started out working in fashion modeling. Even at a young age, Dyan had aspirations of becoming an actress. When she was 6 years old, Dyan remembers putting on plays for her parents with her two older sisters and often performing songs as well. By the time she was a teenager, Dyan had begun modeling. She signed with the prestigious Ford Modeling Agency, became a model for Calvin Klein and has appeared in such magazines as "Cosmopolitan," "Mademoiselle," "Seventeen," "YM," "Teen," and "Your Prom." She was also a featured performer on the "1993 MTV Movie Awards," spoofing such movies as "The Wizard of Oz" and "The Shining."

Born and raised in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, Dyan was an honors student at her high school and a recipient of the Presidential Award for Academics. Her favorite pastimes include ballet (since age 3), rollerblading, horseback riding and fashion design. Her birthday is July 20.
