The character Ani Achola is portrayed by actress Grace Saif, who joins the cast of "13 Reasons Why" beginning in the third season of the series. Saif’s role marks her first major television credit, appearing regularly as Ani across subsequent episodes. Ani’s story includes her relationships with other students at Liberty High and her involvement in the search for answers about central events affecting the group.
Before joining "13 Reasons Why," Saif trains and gains experience in acting through formal study and work in short films, voice work, and guest appearances. Her prior screen work includes roles in short movies and voice roles in video game projects, which give her experience in both on‑camera and voice performance prior to her recurring role on the series.
